Since the commencement of Birds Portchmouth Russum Architects in 1989 Richard Portchmouth has been a founding director in charge of many significant projects and has a particular experience in infrastructure, educational and cultural projects. These include the Avenue de Chartres Car Park in Chichester, the North End Children's Nursery at Bexley, Southwark Park Primary School and the Stonehenge Visitors Centre proposals.
As director Richard has a full design involvement in every BPR Project. Richard has recently completed a 5 year term as a Design Review Comittee Member (DRCM) at the Commission for Architecture and Built Environment (CABE), and has assisted with the judging of a number of prestigious international competitions. Richard is currently a Design Review Comittee Member for the South East Regional Design Panel, the Newham Design Panel and a Design Adviser for the West Sussex Design Surgery. |
