Bellmouth
Bridges
In this competition entry BPR proposed two opening footbridges to cross the Bellmouth Passage in Canary Wharf, London. The south bridge is a two-storey pair of swing bridges with an open-air upper deck. The centre of the bridge is enlivened by a double height restaurant and bar that cantilevers over the dock. The north bridge is a vertically-opening bascule bridge that includes seating to enjoy views along the passage.
