Walworth Road Aurora
A scheme to revitalize a South London
street by road and pavement improvements and an interactive,
networked lighting ‘Aurora’. The Aurora zig
zags down the road, transforming into a ‘lace’
canopy over a pedestrianized hub, and stretches outwards
to plug into local community centres. The Aurora highlights
pedestrian presence and encouages motorists to drive more
slowly and carefully.
