Billy graduated from the University of Kent in 2022 with a Distinction. His sustained achievements were recognised by winning scholarships and awards including the Scholarship of Academic Excellence, Partner Schools Scholarship, Portfolio-of-the-Year Prize, and Artefact Prize. His thesis project has been exhibited across Kent and featured as a ‘visionary radical innovation’ precedent for the regeneration of Chatham High Street.

After completing his Masters Billy joined Birds Portchmouth Russum following a 3 month tour of Europe in his self-converted campervan, completed as part of his Artefact dissertation.

Billy spends his free time converting his traditional narrowboat into a floating home in Canary Wharf, and is encouraged to apply this hands-on experience to his work with Birds Portchmouth Russum. Billy continues to develop his skills at Birds Portchmouth Russum where he is encouraged to deliver joyous architectural solutions.
